Foundation Dinner
The Rotary Foundation Dinner allows Laredo Gateway Rotary to practice the principles of Rotary here in Laredo, by establishing and providing continued support to such local projects as the Larga Vista Kids’ Café and Library, by hosting high school student scholarship speeches, and by providing grants to local non-profit organizations.
Laredo Gateway Rotarians have donated more than $200,000 to the Laredo community, international projects, and the Rotary Foundation. Our efforts have directly benefited the Larga Vista Community Center Library and Kids Café, Bethany House, SCAN (Serving Children and Adults in Need), the Imaginarium of South Texas, the Mid Rio Grande Border Area Health Education Center (AHEC), the Boy Scouts of America – Aztec District, the Children’s Advocacy Center, the Mercy Ministries – Dental Program, the Center for the Arts, Habitat for Humanity, the Renovation of two Nuevo Laredo Orphanages, and other worthy causes.
